Meet Sir Charles
Hi There! My name is Sir Charles. I am a neutered male Great Dane mix that joined the shelter family on 06/17/17, and was 8-months-old at that time. Everyone here wants to walk me because I am SO handsome and well-behaved for my age. Of course, I love every minute of it because I am a VERY high energy dog with lots of fun and adventures on my mind, I do well with cats, most other dogs, children, strangers, you name it - everyone loves me and I love everyone!
Like all pups that come through the shelter, part of my adoption requirements is that I must be taken to formal basic obedience training classes. I am so excited about that because the only command that I know so far is sit, and I am super anxious to learn more, and more, and more. I am told that I will receive lots of treats and will get to spend extra time with my new forever family. I promise to be a very good student, and I know that you will be proud of me. I am polite on leash for the most part, however, I do get scared of sudden loud noises like motorcycles. I am also sensitive when verbally scolded. Sometimes I am reluctant to get into a car too, but once in I am fine. Going to training classes will help me with all of this.
I love to play, but I also love to cuddle just as much, and you will quickly find that I am a sweet, sweet boy. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that I am very close to being housebroken, and that I have been going to the door, and sleeping through the night.
I am very anxious to meet you and I hope you can find the time to stop over soon.
Note: Please be aware that because of the way this dog looks he may be perceived as a certain type. We want to alert you that some communities, landlords, management companies, and insurance agencies have size and breed restrictions, limits on number of pets, and/or require pet deposits or additional fees. Before adopting, we encourage all adopters to know what restrictions may apply to you.
