Whether you would like to call Davy a thumb cat, polydactyl, mitten-toe, or Hemingway cat, he is adorable and has lots of extra toes. This trait is simply the result of a genetic mutation from a dominant gene, and only a polydactyl can parent another polydactyl, which is why they are a bit rare. Davy is a 4-year-old neutered male that was surrendered to the shelter on 06/06/17 because he does not like dogs. He has handsome green eyes and a rich black coat, accented by long white whiskers, a white chin, bib, and toes. Davy will do well in most households as he is VERY friendly and affectionate. This handsome boy will greet you with a meow and just wants to be loved forever! He rolls, and rolls, and rolls begging for belly-rubs and cuddles. When you pick him up, he may want to crawl up to your shoulders as he enjoys being up high. A home with a cat tree near a window would be perfect for him as he is very curious and enjoys watching for birds and other outdoor critters. Davy is sure to be a great deal of companionship for the lucky household that adopts him.
