Meet Pax
When Pax arrived at our shelter, he was such a sad sight to see. Not only did he have a horrible smell to him, but his coat was a dingy yellow, he had multiple engorged ticks feeding off of him, and he just sat and trembled with his head held low. After one of our wonderful volunteers gave Pax a much-needed bath, we discovered that his coat was white; we got rid of the ticks; and after a lot of reassurance and loads of affection from our staff, Pax started wagging his tail and greeting us at the door to his room. He was apprehensive at first on leash but now looks forward to leash walks. And, while he may be shy for the first few minutes after meeting new people, he quickly warms up and shows them what an affectionate dog he is. Pax gives very tender kisses (his name actually means Kiss of Peace) and he is just a wonderfully sweet young dog. Weighing 35 lbs and estimated to be around 18 months old upon his 5/11/17 intake date, Pax is probably full-grown but might add some bulk to his frame. He does great with other dogs but we recently found out (through a failed adoption) that he does NOT do well with cats. He's far too playful with them and thinks they're toys that run. Because of this, Pax needs a feline-free home. On the positive side, his previous adopter said that Pax is house-trained and that he and the much larger dog in the home got along great. With his loving demeanor, Pax is sure to be a wonderful canine companion to the adopter who opens their hearts and home to him. To find out if Pax would be a good fit for you and your household, just stop by the shelter and ask to meet him. Primary Color: White Weight: 35 Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks Animal has been Neutered
