Meet BIG BOY

This poor sweetie pie is still waiting for his forever home. If you are considering adoption please take a second and third look at this boy. Sure, puppies are cute but they're only little for a short while and meanwhile you've got to put up with the pooping in the house and chewing on all of your stuff. Big Boy is ready to go! He's housebroken, up to date on all of his shots and ready for summer fun!

Please, please look into these sad eyes. You could be the family that makes this dog laugh again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pitbulls have a reputation for being mean, vicious dogs and consequently are bred by mean, vicious people and get dumped when they are no longer wanted. If pitbulls really were mean, they would survive on the streets a lot better than they do. Unfortunately a high proportion of those that are dumped wind up starving or being taken in to kill shelters where, due to their high numbers, they are put down.

In December, a good soul found a starving pit bull roaming the streets of Aurora, IL and took it in even though she has two dogs of her own. It was cold, hungry and emaciated but she thought she would take him home and feed and keep him warm until she found his owner. It has been 5 months now-no one has come to claim him.

Big Boy has a gentle soul and is just a big boy with a big heart. He looks amazing now and he's a good listener, he is very smart and his spirit has not been broken. He will make someone a wonderful companion and friend.

His rescuer lives in a small duplex and does not really have the room for 3 dogs. He is great with her other 2 dogs, he's smart, well behaved and just a great dog.

She did not anticipate him staying this long, she thought someone would come for him, but no one has. she does not want to take him to the Aurora humane society, fearing they will kill him if no one adopts him.

If you are looking for a wonderful dog, Big Boy truly deserves a great home. He's paid his dues on the streets and would reward you with all of his love. Please consider this fantastic dog.

He deserves a forever home.

Big Boy will only be placed into a forever home that is located within 1.5 hours of Lake & McHenry Counties in Illinois...(sorry, NO exceptions).**
