Meet Pumpernickel
PUMPERNICKEL
DOB/AGE: 4-12-2015
SIZE (GROWN): 60-70 lbs
Attention all GSD lovers! I am a beautiful, young, smart, and playful Shepherd girl! My Animal League friends are shocked that I haven't been adopted yet! I am extremely smart, and just as active. I am looking for a home that has experience with German Shepherds, or other working or herding breed dogs. I am very playful and need a "job" to do - my friends think I'd do really well at agility! I am currently being treated for heartworms, but I am still available for Meet & Greets. I can be a bit selective about my dog friends, and I'd prefer to be an "only child." But I bet there are lots of people who are just looking for one doggy! Please share me with any GSD lovers you know, to help me find a home!
I am a Have-A-Heart Fundraiser pet. My additional fee helps The Animal League treat heartworm positive dogs. I arrived heartworm positive, myself, and the Have-A-Heart Fundraiser is helping me get treatment. All our dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, receive monthly flea and heartworm preventative, and are micro-chipped with registration.

Please keep in mind that puppies under 16 weeks (4 months) will require an approved application prior to a Meet + Greet, as will all canines in foster care. To determine how old a pet is, please see birthdate above. To determine location, please call our center at 352-429-6334.
If you are planning to drive out to visit a specific doggie, please call the Adoption Center in advance (352-429-6334) to ensure they are ready for a Meet & Greet. Most of our dogs are located at the Adoption Center in Groveland FL, and can be seen during business hours. We are open Monday, Friday, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5. We are CLOSED Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
In addition to the pets at our center, we do have some pets in foster care. Please call before making the trip out to avoid disappointment.
We work hard to find best match, and this doesn't always mean first come, first served. To understand our adoption policy, please follow the link below, which explains everything in detail.
