Hi, my name is Maci and I am ready to be your new best friend. Don’t laugh, I might be already and you just don’t know it yet. I am 3 years old and I am very energetic. I love to play, whether its fetch, tug or wrestling with my foster sisters. I also love to run outside. Well I gotta go, but here’s my foster mom.


Maci is super smart and very sweet but may need some time to warm up to new people. We have been working on her manners, which she has been learning quickly. She needs a home with a tall physical fence or an invisible fence as she can clear 3ft gates easily. Her ideal home would have another young canine friend to play with. Her family should be committed to insuring she has a good outlet for her energy including mental simulation. She would excell at agility, nose work, and she might also be able to become a hunting partner once properly traines. At this time I cannot recommend that she go to a home with young children but this may change in time. She will need some time to adjust to a new home, and may have some anxiety during the transition which would not mix well with small children.

If you are interested in adopting Maci or another OESR dog, you must complete the application process at www.oesr.org. We will not be able to answer your questions about this her or another dog until you have completed the application process and are approved to adopt.

All adoptive homes must have a fenced yard or other type of containment or boundaries for the dog. Vet and personal reference checks as well as a home visit will be conducted prior to final adoption approval for all OESR dogs.

Adoption fees range from 250.00 to 395.00
