Meet Oscar
Oscar loves human attention! He was happy as could be from the moment he arrived at the shelter. All the volunteers know they better save time to give Oscar lots of whole body rubs which he adores. He gets so animated for these massages that he almost falls off his cat tree as he purrs and stretches. Yes, Oscar is a lap cat!
Oscar is a cute and talkative boy. This handsome guy was left behind along with at least seven other cats when a tenant moved out. When the landlord found the cats he thought there were only four cats and he called around until he could find a shelter to take them. Oscar accidentally got out when a door was left open but the property owner went back and looked for him and saw him near the house. One of our volunteers went out and called to him and he came out from under the piece of cardboard he was using to stay out of the rain and let her pick him right up and put him in a carrier.
He is approximately 2 years old.
To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out the adoption application from this page:

If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125. Our kitten adoption fee (cats up to 6 months old) is $160 for a single kitten or $260 for a pair. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, combo testing (for FeLV and FIV) and spaying/neutering when old enough.
