Meet Oakhurst
Oakhurst came to us from a rescue group that works in Dorchester. His fur was very matted and it is clear he was fending for himself for a while. He is a social guy and likes when our volunteers sit with him when he eats. He enjoys attention and petting. He was neutered on April 18th and is ready for adoption. In order to remove the mats the vet did have to use clippers, so he is sporting a bit of an unusual haircut right now, and yet he is still adorable.
To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out the adoption application from this page:

If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125. Our kitten adoption fee (cats up to 6 months old) is $160 for a single kitten or $260 for a pair. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, combo testing (for FeLV and FIV) and spaying/neutering when old enough.
