Halo Tabby Vine Grove, KY

Halo was dumped along with Pookie on our premises this past December. Along with them, there was a note stating that Halo (not her original name) was a 7 year old cat and had a large tumor/mass on her chest and that she had one removed once before. Halo arrived in pretty bad shape and we quickly proceeded to tend to her and knew she needed surgery as soon as possible. Our veterinarian removed the tumor and it was sent off for testing. It was cancer and could return. It broke our hearts but Halo seems to take everything in stride.

Halo lives life to the fullest enjoying canned food daily and getting her fair share of attention. After all of her medical care, we are looking for a home for her. If you don"t want to adopt her, we understand. It would be great if someone could foster her longterm in hospice care. At the moment she needs nothing special except lots of love. We want to make sure that when Halo leaves this earth, she will know what it means to have had a home. She can co-exist with another cat but too many kitties would stress her out. Won't you make a place in your heart and home for Halo? She may be a little short on life but never on love.

All our pets are spayed, neutered, and up-to-date on all shots. Our dogs have been tested and are presently on Heartworm prevention. The Animal Refuge Center has these and many more pets waiting for a good home. Note: The Animal Refuge Center has a "No-Declaw" policy. Our cats are too old to be declawed without risk of serious behavioral problems.
