I am such a lover! I love attention and being close to my humans. I love to nuzzle and cuddle. I'm a big girl, but I think I'm a lap doggie. I'm about 11 years old, however, I am still very active and playful. I am a little picky about my dog-friends, so a Meet & Greet is a must. I also would like a securely fenced yard - I'm smart and I like to explore - so if there's a weak spot, I'll find a way to escape! I also would like a family that will be home with me a lot. I get lonely and I'll howl and cry if you leave me alone for too long. When I first got here, I had really bad matts in my fur. They were so bad that my whole coat had to be shaved! I look a little funny (my friends say I look like a sheared lamb!), but it's growing back and will be long and luscious again before long. I arrived at The Animal League heartworm positive, and I hope to be treated by the end of May 2017.

All our dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, receive monthly flea and heartworm preventative, and are micro-chipped with registration.

Please keep in mind that puppies under 16 weeks (4 months) will require an approved application prior to a Meet + Greet, as will all canines in foster care. To determine how old a pet is, please see birthdate above. To determine location, please call our center at 352-429-6334.

If you are planning to drive out to visit a specific doggie, please call the Adoption Center in advance (352-429-6334) to ensure they are ready for a Meet & Greet. Most of our dogs are located at the Adoption Center in Groveland FL, and can be seen during business hours. We are open Monday, Friday, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5. We are CLOSED Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

In addition to the pets at our center, we do have some pets in foster care. Please call before making the trip out to avoid disappointment.
