Topanga (three-legged) Domestic Short Hair Eau Claire, WI

Topanga is a pretty 2-year-old spayed female that was brought to the shelter as a stray on 02/10/17. Topanga is missing her left rear leg, but does just fine on three legs. Topanga spent time in a foster home, but is now at the shelter and waiting to meet you. This is what the foster mom has had to say about her. Last night I took her collar off so she could eat and when finished she came and sat on my lap, snuggled, kept grabbing my hand to pet her for about 10 minutes. Steady purring. Then I got some toys out and she played for another 10 minutes or so. Another wonderful cat! She loves being wrapped in a blanket and cuddled. She also really enjoys the window view of the bird feeders! This feline is wonderful! After dinner I bring her up and she snuggles for hours on my lap, kissing, talking and doing her bath. She loves close contact. Talks a lot. She does get grouchy when she has to go back to her special room. It is an indication that she might not do well with small children that would want to grab and not let go. She tells you when to stop the attention. I have had her by the dogs and she is pretty relaxed around them. She will be very happy when she has a home with free roaming. Very energetic and has adapted very well to missing a leg.
