Colby Terrier & Retriever Mix Minneapolis, MN

Hi my name is Colby. I'm a tiny little guy from Cancun. But you know what they say; the best things come in little packages. I may be small, but I act like I'm a big boy when it comes time for my training, playing with the resident dogs in my foster home and the amount of love I have to give. The humans say I am a gem on leash. That is because I love following the big dogs.

I haven't met a soul I don't love; four-legged and two-legged. I would love some siblings of both varieties; all ages, all sizes. My social skills are off the charts, so I'm an easy guy to get along with! I event went to work with my human and she said I was a true gentleman! I've been particularly fond of the smaller humans; their faces are much easier to reach with my kisses! I ride great in the car and am working on my basic commands. I love treats so it is going great!

By day, my biggest decisions include which human I want to snuggle with and which resident dog I want to challenge to a wrestle session. By night I go back to snuggling and sleeping really well in my foster's big bed. During the day when we dogs get the house to ourselves, I get to hang out in my kennel, and I'm OK with that, too.

I am really good at letting my people know when it's time to do my business outside. In fact, I've been accident free since my first day in my foster home!

My favorite thing, besides snuggling and wrestling of course, is fetching. I love chasing tennis balls, and am already figuring out it makes the humans happy when I bring it back to them so they can throw it again. I can't wait to find my forever family to snuggle with. I can already see the adoption applications for me piling up; I'm too perfect to pass up!

Colby is estimated to be 12 wks and 7 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.

All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
