Lilly and her sister, Kate, lost their homes when their owners had to move to care for a sick relative. The relative, unfortunately, turned out to be highly allergic to cats so Lilly and Kate were banished to the garage. Their owners wanted their beloved cats to have a new home where they would once again be pampered so they asked us to take Lilly and Kate. We were told that Lilly is a bit on the lazy side, lived with a high-energy dog that she mostly avoided, loves to be petted and is accustomed to being brushed, and that she is good around well-mannered children. If you know cats, you know most of them require an adjustment period to new surroundings and Lilly just hasn’t warmed up to the cats in our Chiles Cat Room. Because of this, we think it would be best if Lilly were the only cat in the home (unless the other cat is her sister, Kate!). We have moved Lilly to her own private ‘condo’ in our Lobby giving her the solitude she needs from other cats but has left her limited in her ability to move about as much as she’d like to. We sure would like this ‘loves people…other cats not so much’ feline to find a new home as soon as possible. Lilly's new owner just needs to give her time to settle in so that he/she can benefit from all the love and affection Lilly will bestow upon them. She has so much love to give and is so responsive to people, that she's more than enough company!
