Indy Hound Mix Minneapolis, MN

Indy is a great dog. She loves the 11 year old daughter, likes to play with the resident dogs and is very interested in the cat. She seems to be okay with the cat but we are still monitoring that. Indie is 99% potty trained. She does not give cues that she needs to go outside, but if you put her on a leash and walk her outside she goes to the bathroom immediately. If you let her out without the leash she is hesitant to go out into the yard and wants to go back into the house. After a while and if it is warm out she will play with the other dogs outside. She walks okay on a leash. She likes to go for walks with the dogs. She loves chew toys. She will go exploring and find stuff to chew on, she is very curious and loves to see what we are cooking and eating. Indie pretty much follows the 11 year old around the house. She really wants to be around humans and will give you kisses. She is a mellow pup but she needs a significant amount of exercise to wear her down.

Indy stays in the crate while the humans are gone. She is never in the crate for more than 3-4 hours at a time. She does not like to sleep in the crate, she just wants to sleep with her humans. Indy loves to snuggle and when she sees you she shakes her butt uncontrollably with a goofy wiggle. She prefers to snuggle with humans over dogs. She does not like other dogs near her food. Indy is estimated to be 4-5 months old and 22 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.

All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
