Meet JIM CRAVER

Meet Jim Craver:: Neutered male domestic long hair, ~10 years old.

Jim has come a long way since we rescued him. Missing fur along with a huge hole in his face and looking starved to death at only 4 lbs (when he should have weighed closer to 12), Jim was too weak and dehydrated to even meow when he came to us. He could barely let out a sound. He was immediately hospitalized at the vet for several weeks and we discovered that Jim loved to eat and ate a lot but an underlying thyroid condition was to blame for his malnourished appearance. While at the vet, Jim's bloodwork also showed that he was FIV positive. We had our vets remove his thyroid in an attempt to fix the thyroid issue and when that didn't work, Jim went to the specialty vet to have radiation of the thyroid done. This fully corrected the thyroid problem, eliminated Jim's need for thyroid pills and allowed him to put on some much needed weight. Then we addressed the hole in his face and found that he needed a dental and had an abscess from a previously removed tooth that had left some root behind. Yet Jim doesn't let having only 8 teeth impede his appetite. He loves to eat! We also had to shave down his matted fur and spent months nursing this little guy back to health. He's gained some weight and some fur and is no longer on any medications or receiving special care.

Now Jim, approximately 10 years young, is paying back our kindness by being the sweetest most loving and grateful cat around. He loves to be held and nuzzle your neck and doesn't know a stranger. He is now a very happy cat who would love a forever home to call his own.

Jim is current on vaccines and is neutered.

Jim is FIV positive,

Jim is litter box trained.
