Meet Spirit
This sassy girl is Spirit and named rightly so! Spirit jumps forward to greet anyone coming to the shelter. She will put out her paw to try to grab you as you walk by so she can get some attention. She's giddy with delight as she gets rubbed. Spirit wasn't always like this. She came in as a frightened and shy cat living who was living outside in a sickly cat colony. Her mouth was full of decay and she must've felt terrible. She had a full dental in 2016 and had most of her rotting teeth removed. She feels so much better now and it shows. She's full of spunk and is comical to watch how she wants your attention. She enjoys being picked up to receive kisses and purrs loudly to tell you she's happy. We've noticed that she cowers sometimes when you go to pet her head which makes us feel that someone may have abused her at one time. Spirit has a black shiny coat with a kiss of white on her chest. She might do best in a quieter home with patient people as it may take her a little time to adjust to a home. But she will shower you with love once she's comfortable there. Spirit is FeV/FIV negative, up-to-date on shots, dewormed, litter trained and spayed. If you are interested in adopting Spirit please contact Michelle at 570-759-0920.
