Charlie Daniels was thinking about me - that means you have been too, right? HA! Hi everyone! My name is Dixie and I'm a 3 year-old Retriever mix. I'm a sweet girl from Kentucky whose family had to move and they couldn't take me with them. So I found my way to a shelter and now here I am at DAWS, hoping that I won't have to wait too long until my new family comes to find me. I'm a little nervous when I first meet people - I might only get close enough to lick your hand and then move away. But deep down I really do love people and am a snuggle bug at heart. I just need a little time to get used to things and then the true me really comes out! I love food and treats and I'm probably housebroken too!
