Beau Black Labrador Retriever Mix Willingboro, NJ

Unwanted, injured and reportedly dumped. Beau had been wandering the end of a long driveway, looking for food, a home and human help. He was limping badly on his hind leg. He had injuries consistent with that of being hit by a car. Upon x-raying, the accident had occurred quite some time before Beau was found. The fracture and dislocation were old and partially healed. Beau has had FHO surgery in the hopes of eliminating the pain and saving the leg. He is healing nicely but still has a limp. With continued walks and exercise, the muscles will rebuild helping to improve his gait.
Beau is a young, 11-month-old, tall, intelligent, handsome gentlemen. He is good with other dogs and enjoys playing. He loves attention and will melt into you for some loving. He likes his daily walks and is getting better on leash. He rides good in the car, takes in the view. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is learning the basics of sit, come, rest. He is very treat/food motivated and is learning quickly.
Beau will need a home with older or no children. While he is fine and gentle with youngsters, they need to know and understand he is still healing from his surgery. Beau will never be a marathon runner, or hike the full length of the Appalachian Trail, but he is fully able to enjoy a good walk, game of chase, a day at the beach, a swim at the lake and long nap on sofa!
