Ajax American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hello, my name is Ajax, and I am a 2-year-old neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier mix. I am a very stately and dignified looking dog that is hesitant at first with new people, but I warm up quickly given a few minutes to get to know you. I love attention, especially being scratched all the way down my back. I like to cuddle and will gladly give you kisses for spending time with me. When first taken out of my kennel to go for a walk I do pull some, and I am very strong, but the longer we are out and about the less demanding I become. Like all large dogs full of energy, I will need a home that will make sure I get plenty of exercise. I love to play and spend time with you. I have been known to form a strong bond to one person in the household which caused some separation anxiety when left alone. I would be a fantastic companion for a household where someone is home most of the time.

I will do best in a home that has experience with large dogs, and would benefit from going to basic obedience training, which would provide me with more socializing and would also boost my confidence with strangers and other dogs. I know you would be proud of me because I already know sit, I take treats gently, and I am very smart. I am looking for a home without cats as I like to chase them, and also without small children. Kids over the age of 12 would be fine. I am very friendly and a super sweet fellow, but I also have an excitable personality and could innocently knock over young children. I am housebroken, and my rabies vaccination certificate will not expire until 02/23/18. I would love nothing more than to meet you, so that I can show you just how wonderful I am.
