Gracie Australian Kelpie Troy, VA

I'm not sure how this is even possible, but Gracie still has yet to find a family of her own. She is the most amazing dog, friends. She comes when called, is great with other dogs, adores children and hangs on your ever word, waiting to do anything she can for a simple pat on the head and an utterance of "good girl". Gracie is one REMARKABLE dog. She is one of the greats. She is a "once in a lifetime" kinda girl, and whomever ends up with her is going to hit the jackpot. Perhaps people see her breed and assume she isn't for them, but she is very Atypical of the breed. She has no interest in working livestock which is likely why she ended up being tossed aside. This girl knows all her basic commands, walks decently on leash and off, and wouldn't go anywhere her family isn't. While she would love to go hiking or running, she is also content to hang out at home with her people and play with toys. She LOVES car rides and would be the best shotgun rider you could imagine. She won't even fuss over your choice of radio stations! To be totally honest friends, this dog pretty much has everything going for her. Friendly, happy, well adjusted and wants nothing more then to please. Sounds like an ideal partner to me! She is located in Richmond VA.




Tonight we are all a little sad here at GDU. Gracie, the purebred Australian Kelpie, was supposed to be adopted next week. Tonight we got an email from her new mom letting us know circumstances have changed and she is no longer able to adopt. While we deeply appreciate her honesty, and want only what is best for Gracie, we now are looking for a new forever family for her. She will be spayed and fully vetted this week and will be available. Australian Kelpies are highly intelligent and friendly dogs. They need direction and purpose, but reward with love and affection, and obedience. Gracie is 3 years old, and gets along with other dogs and kids.
