Hi! My name is Sammy and I'm a three year old shihtzu and I'm looking for the perfect home with lots of love and belly rubs. You see, I'm kind of sad because one of my human parents went to heaven and my other one went to a place called a nursing home. I've been bounced around to a couple of different homes before I found this nice place called Speak! I have a new, temporary family that's going to help me find my forever home.

I would do best in a quiet house with or without other dogs. I'm not big on playing with toys, but I love laps and belly rubs and sitting by my foster mom's feet while she makes dinner. There's this thing called a "cat" here- I'm kind of afraid of him but the other dogs are OK. I even met some chickens last night. They kind of freaked me out. There's a couple of small humans too. They are kind of fun, but I like them best when they are sitting and watching TV.

I'm mostly housebroken, but I'm having a little issue with trying to mark my spots. Mom says we are getting tutored next week and that should help with a lot of that. (Wish I knew what tutored was...) I also have my vaccines and heartworm done to keep me healthy and will be microchipped, if I ever run away- I'm not going to run away, I like to be beside my people too much.
