My name is Bear and I am a happy, squirmy 3 month old Australian Shepard mix. My markings don’t look like it, but I certainly have the energy of an Aussie puppy! My brother and I had a rough start because my first owners weren’t able to properly treat a skin infection we had, so they tried to use bleach and peroxide, but it wasn’t until we were rescued and got proper medical treatment that it started to clear up. I’m doing so much better now! I love my humans who have been making sure I am getting good care and am so excited to see them every time they come in the door, walk in from another room, or even just look my way. My whole body wiggles when I wag my tail! (which is often) Potty training is a work-in-progress, but I do well through the night without accidents whether crated, gated in the kitchen, or in bed with my foster mom, and I have nailed sit and lay down. I love to play with other dogs, big and small, but am still figuring out cats; they seem like good play buddies, but they usually just run away from me. Maybe it’s my cologne. I have completed my prescription treatments for my skin infection, am up to date on my vaccinations and will be available to go to my forever home after I am neutered on March 27th.
