Meet Saint

UPDATE 3/17/2017:

Saint and her siblings are about 10 weeks old now. Six of the 10 have been adopted and are living the good life in their new furever homes. Saint is the more laid back of the bunch and more like her mother, in that she wants to be with her person, more than she wants to go to work. She is just waiting for that perfect family to come along and fall head over heals for her . . . could that be you? These pups are smart and just as sweet as they can be. Please complete an adoption application if you would be interested in adopting Saint or one of her siblings. www.greendogsunleashed.org

Saint and her 9 Australian Kelpie siblings will be ready to be spayed/neutered in a week or so. We are pre-adopting these babies so that when they are ready, they will have homes to call their very own! Mom is an Australian Kelpie and while we cannot actually confirm the father, there was a male Australian Kelpie on the premises where we picked up Momma Grace, and we were told he was the father. However, since we cannot be absolutely certain that he is, we cannot call them pure.

They are about 7 weeks old now and are looking to take the world by storm. They are at the age where personalities are just developing, and honestly, changing every day, so describing them is difficult. However, these pups are, and will be, VERY ACTIVE and athletic dogs. Most of them are squirmy puppies - not a lot of cuddling going on so far. They will need a large yard or property on which to run, or they will need someone who is committed to getting them some serious exercise. This means a 2 or 3+ mile run on a daily basis, or some type of agility training. A walk around the neighborhood after dinner is NOT going to cut it for these dogs.

Please look through the group and if you would like to find out about adopting one, please complete an application. No, at 7 weeks old, they are NOT house-trained. They are using the paper pretty well when inside, but as puppies will, they love to tear up the paper too. The pups will be up-to-date on 'age appropriate' vaccines and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Jan 4, 2017: We got a msg from an amazing volunteer that a momma dog being given away on craigslist had birthed 11 puppies this morning and the owner wanted them gone immediately. She reached out to us to see if we would intake and help out this family in need. Thanks to her quick thinking and an amazing foster home willing to open up her heart and house to this extremely large family, the volunteer was able to travel to her location, find her chained outside with her newborn puppies and retrieve them to bring back to foster. It is because of our volunteers hearts and help that we are able to assist in times like this. Mom and babies are very thin and dehydrated and we will be working round-the-clock to ensure they are given the best care both medically and emotionally
