Ciara was found with her litter of four kittens on a freezing December night. She was rescued by one of our volunteers just days before Christmas. Some neighbors in the area where she was found said she was left behind when her owner moved. The vet estimates Ciara's DOB to be approx June 2015.

Ciara has lived a scary life for a young mom, yet took excellent care of her babies while she was on her own. She was happy to finally receive a warm home and consistent food while she continued to nurse her babies in her foster home.

We are looking for a family who will give Ciara the love and care she should have received from the beginning! She deserves to live in a safe home where she will be able to thrive and be happy. We do not know how Ciara will do in a home with other cats, dogs, or children, so gradual introductions will be critical for success.

Ciara is currently completing ringworm treatment and will be ready for her forever family as soon as it is cleared and she is spayed. She will be spayed and microchipped in April.

ADOPTION INSTRUCTIONS
All of our animal companions are in foster homes, so visits are arranged with the foster family. To set up a time to meet one of our animal companions, we must first have a completed application on file.

Please note that we do not adopt animal companions out to homes that show signs of indoor smoking. Adoption fee: $95

Adoption package: All animal companions adopted out of our foundation will have had a Well Pet Exam, be current on vaccines (cats: FVRCP, Rabies; dogs: DHPP, Rabies) according to age, treated for worms, fleas, and/or ear mites, and micro-chipped. Cats will be tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and cats 6+ months of age will be tested for FeLV & FIV. Animal companions will be neutered/spayed prior to or post adoption depending on his/her age.
