Bentley is a sweet, friendly, joyous, love life boy that was rescued as a community stray. He is between the age of one and two. He weighs 10 lbs. and looks like a mini tricolored Shibu Inu with a slightly longer coat than completely short and tight, however, it is clear to me that he is a Rat Terrier mix. His coloring is super cute, white, with black spots all over his body and a tricolored face with a Zorro mask. So cute!

Bentley LOVES other dogs and loves to play with other dogs. He also loves people and loves to follow his people around and look up at them with total love and devotion, constantly wagging his tail. He also enjoys sitting with you and cuddling too! Bentley is crate-trained and potty-trained and doing very well in that regard. Of course, I walk the dogs out first thing in the a.m. and throughout the day. He sleeps quietly in a small wire crate at night. He enjoys a rawhide stick at bedtime. He is completely non-aggressive and happy, and when he is not playing with another dog, he is wagging his tail vigorously and looking up at me in complete admiration. He is ever-so-slightly afraid of things that he has no knowledge of yet, or, of people that he does not yet know, but he gets over it very quickly when he soon realizes that all is safe and well. This easy- to-handle dog will make a great family addition. I have not yet seen him enjoy or play with toys yet; mostly at this juncture, he relishes in wrestling, chasing, and playing with other dogs. He is such a happy-go-lucky, upbeat dog! He has a true zest for life!

The home that we seek for Bentley is one with another dog to play with and to keep him company and possibly even a little bit of a yard though that is not necessarily a requirement. I can consider him to be the only dog in the home if people are not gone all day long and if they have access to other friendly and playful dogs that can keep Bentley happy, playing and socializing with his own kind, which he loves. All adopted dogs MUST be indoor dogs with outdoor access only for potty and play, but never to be excluded to the outside, away from people.

Bentley is neutered, fully vaccinated (including rabies), dewormed, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in Bentley, please contact Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. The phone number to the rescue is: 626-340-9316. There is no need to phone the rescue until you have first submitted an interest via e-mail.
