My name is Misty. That’s my new name for my new life. My rescuers don’t know what my old name was or where I came from. I’ve been through some bad stuff because I had a bad owner, but I know I’m safe now and I know I’m in good hands. My old owner ditched me outside to fend for myself. I don’t know why, I’m a really sweet girl and I don’t do bad things. I love affection and attention and I love to serenade you with my soft kitty purrs. I’m NEVER aggressive or mean, even when I’m getting medicine or around strangers; I always try to be very gentle. I’m a girly girl and the outside world was a very big scary place for me to be. I got scratched, beat up, I was hungry. I got hurt and it was very, very cold. People came and trapped us and took us to a hospital place to get us spayed and neutered. They cut my ear off so people would know that I couldn’t have babies. It was warm there and they gave me something to eat and pet me and told me I was a pretty girl. I was so happy to be there. Then I got sad because they took us all back to release us at our “home”. It was so cold that day; it was 3 degrees. For 2 days; I was so hungry and I thought I might freeze to death.

Then I found this nice lady to feed me. She seemed nice, so I let her pet me and then pick me up. She loved me ever since then! She’s now my foster mommy. She tried to find my owners but no one was looking for me. She took me back to that hospital place and got me all doctored up. I had to get tests to make sure I didn’t have bad diseases, got my boo boo fixed and got me some medicines to make me all better. The Dr said I’m a very young girl and he said I’m too sweet to have ever been a feral colony cat. He told me I deserve a good home. That’s exactly what my foster mommy tells me.

NOTE FROM THE FOSTER MOM: Misty is a sweet, loving lap kitty. She’s had time to settle in to her foster home and they rave about how wonderful she is. She’s very well behaved. Doesn’t get anyplace she’s not supposed to be. She loves to be with her people and she will follow you from room to room. She loves to be picked up and “hugged”. She’s purrs as soon as you touch her. She will be adopted to an inside ONLY home.

Spayed, vaccines, deworming, blood work to test for Feline Leuk/FIV,flea and tick prevention, and microchipping.
