Raleigh is a cover-girl-gorgeous spayed female in need of a home without children. She is 8-years-old and was sadly surrendered to the shelter on 12/21/16. Raleigh had lived in the same household since she was a small kitten, but never adjusted to the three children that came into her life as the years went by. They could tell that she was overwhelmed by them and was at times living in fear. They loved her dearly and wanted her to be happy, so here she is, waiting for a new calm and quiet home. Raleigh is a very independent girl that loves attention, but doesn't want to be a pest about it. She is very friendly with adults and strangers. She is a mellow girl that will ask for attention when she wants it. She likes being petted, brushed, and spending time on your lap when it's her idea to do so. Raleigh knows what a scratching post is to be used for, and is good with the litter box. Once she has had a little time to get to know you, she is playful with laser light toys and balls. With a quiet voice she warms up to strangers easily, and loves to hear all about how pretty she is. Raleigh is the perfect companion for a quiet and calm home. She likes being scratched and chin-rubs are a favorite of hers as well. Raleigh is a delightful girl with a heart of gold. She is back from vacationing in a foster home where she has been for a couple of weeks. While there, she did VERY well with the large dog, and did okay with the cats - they could eat out of the same bowl but she did not befriend them. Raleigh liked to help her foster mom on the computer, but didn't want to be picked up. She is a bit fussy as to who her friends are.
