Bentley (third longest resident) Domestic Short Hair Eau Claire, WI

Bentley is a 7 year old neutered male in need of a quiet household. He has a very eye-catching orange tabby coat, highlighted by a light colored tail, and bright green eyes that are begging for adoption. He was surrendered to the shelter on 10/28/16 as his previous owners were no longer able to care for him. Bentley is a calm and laid-back fellow that does well with other cats, tolerated a small dog in his previous home, is friendly with strangers, and hides from children. Like many cats his age, he is quite the couch potato most of the time. Bentley is independent, but will always be there for you when you need a friend to lean on. He is good at sensing when you are upset about something and will do his best to calm you when you are stressed out. He is shy, but warms up quickly with a soft voice and a gentle touch. Once he gets to know you, he builds a strong bond with his favorite humans. Bentley likes to sit on your lap or above you on the couch, but only on his terms. A calm environment where he can feel special would be a dream-come-true for this wonderful feline. Bentley enjoys catnip and ball toys as well as wand-toys with a human attached to the other end. He is a large, confident cat with salt and pepper whiskers, and looks so majestic as he relaxes at the top of a cat tree with his front paws folded in. Note: Bentley is in need of a dental.
