Hi, my name is Franny, and I am a three-year-old spayed female Black Mouth Cur. I am in need of a forever home without children, cats, or small animals. I was born and raised in the same household, so becoming a shelter resident has been a bit overwhelming for me; however, I have been doing my best to be brave until the perfect home for me is found. I am timid and reserved at first until I have had a few minutes to get to know you, and then you will find that I am very loving. This morning my dog walker stopped to sit on a bench, so I laid my head on her lap hoping for some attention, and received lots of snuggle, cuddle, scratching, and petting time. From the smile on her face and kind words spoken, I think I melted her heart just by being me. My previous owner let everyone here know that I like to sleep in bed and on the couch. I know sit, down, quiet, and I am crate-trained and housebroken. My previous owner loved me dearly, but couldn't keep me any longer because I developed quite the prey drive as I got older, which is why I must have a home without small animals like cats, rabbits, or hamsters. I tolerate some other dogs, but will do best in a home where I am your one and only canine pet. I am very easy on leash and I LOVE to go on long walks. Perhaps I could be your jogging partner! Since I am shy, I am currently being kept on a more quiet side of the building.
