Description:

Cy means sun. The name means openness, a welcoming attitude and the desire to share. Despite being the largest of the these kitties, he is the most willing to share and happily waits his turn to dig into the wet food each night. He is definitely the quiet leader of the group. Although he likes to present himself as tough when he first means someone, his efforts include a wimpy hiss. When you realize that he is one of the Six Sweet Saved Souls (on facebook) that came from a horrific hoarding situation in Yuma, AZ, it makes sense he is a bit hesitant to trust. He has certainly shown his foster family his appreciation for his improved conditions and how excited he is to find a forever family who will appreciate all that he has to offer. The family who welcomes Cy home will need to give him ample time to settle in. Changes can take a bit longer on kitties who come from hoarding situations, but with a gentle attitude he will bond with his new family. Thankfully, these six have shown resiliency.



Cats: Cy is happy to have feline companions and would appreciate a pal if left home alone for long periods of time. An outgoing kitty might help him come out of his shell faster.

Dogs: Cy did not meet a dog while in rescue.

Kids: Cy would do fine with children as long as they were kitty-friendly kids over age 10.



Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested, receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption
