Belle American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi, my name is Belle, and I am a 2-year-old spayed female, American Staffordshire Terrier mix. I am very friendly and gentle, but will need a home without children, as my safer test did show signs of some food aggression. When you are at the shelter looking at all of the dogs, the one thing you will notice about me is that I am a quiet girl. I have no need to bark every time someone walks past, nor do I feel the need to chime in on their chorus of barking. The staff tells me that they really appreciate this and that I am a real sweetheart. Sometimes they even give me an extra treat for being such a good girl. I take advantage of this by gently resting my paw up on the door and looking them straight in the eye begging for attention with my sad look. You would be surprised how often this works to get them to join me in my kennel for some extra petting and scratching. I am affectionate and I love attention, but you will also see my energetic side when you take me for a walk. I will admit that I do pull some on leash, but I do settle into a comfortable pace once I have been out for a while. Before you adopt me, please check with your landlord and renter's insurance company or your homeowner's insurance company to make sure that they do not discriminate against my breed.
