Dory Pointer Troy, VA

Oh my goodness !! This girl is so sweet it makes one's teeth hurt!

Little Dory was found in a shelter in Alabama. They had no knowledge of what to do with, or how to teach a deaf pup, so they got her pulled by a wonderful lady who drove her all the way to Green Dogs Unleashed! She is a little thin, but is working on that! She is also much smaller than the photos make her out to be, or a standard Pointer would be.

What a gorgeous girl this one is. She is affectionate, loves to cuddle and is learning that people are actually pretty awesome. Having known only a life in an outdoor kennel where she lived alone for the first year to 18 months of her life, Dory is quickly picking up on what it's like to snuggle in a nice warm bed!!

Dory is reportedly good with just about everything and everybody! She is in a foster home with 3 larger dogs and 2 cats, and is just having fun, fun, fun !! She has met one cat and showed a lot of interest, but she is interested in EVERYTHING! She showed no signs of aggression at all. And, she has met cats before and was great with them. Dory is learning how to play with others - she bows down, but then when they come running to play, she rolls onto her back. Dory definitely loves to run and play in the yard, then come in and collapse on a nice soft bed or sofa. She spends a good deal of time in the yard, and likes watching the leaves fall, bugs flying by, and shadows. Dory is a bit of a digger and will need a fenced yard. She isn't actually digging to get out, but to find what is just underneath that next layer of dirt.

Ms Dory has a couple of quirks, but with time, will hopefully grow out of them.
