Milo Weimaraner Ann Arbor, MI

Meet Milo, a handsome, 11-year-old male. Milo spent most of his summer healing from surgery. Now that he checked that off his list; his energy level has been increasing, the weight is coming off and he is getting to know his neighborhood. He has high prey drive (squirrel!) and his foster mom has a cool harness that attaches to his collar so he does not try to take her flying.

Milo passed his temperament test for the dog park and loves running off leash. He is a master ball-fetcher and is in love with the water. He just needs to figure out how his friends do that floaty-thing!

Milo is loving and affectionate. He loves to sleep with foster mom and is great with his foster Weim brother, but does seem like a bit of a bulldozer so he would do best with kids that are a little older. He is VERY food motivated. Especially since he was put on a diet. Rumor has it he is good with cats, but the only cat we saw on a walk swatted his nose, then stalked him for a block so it probably depends on the cat.

He has been living in a high traffic area and started out really reactive to noise and people walking by the house. As his health improved and his world expanded and he became less reactive. He walks nicely in his harness and will follow some basic commands in the neighborhood and the house. He was crated in the bathroom post op and seems to like the safety of it when he is left alone. He will run in to the bathroom when told to kennel-up and I started leaning the baby gate in the doorway instead of pushing it into the frame and he is fine.

Milo is a wonderful 11-year-old, non destructive charmer. He would make a great starter Weim! He is being fostered in Ann Arbor, MI.
