Winnie Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Schnauzer Mix Troy, VA

Little Winnie is coming to GDU all the way from Texas!! She is about 5 months old, 25 lbs, and as you can see, the most adorable little girl !! A Blue Heeler/schnauzer mix, this little ball of grey and white fluff is completely deaf. She will start sign language training while at her GDU foster home, but will need someone willing to continue with her training using sign language. It's not really any different than training a hearing dog, you just use a hand signal as well, and you have to be extra careful that they are secure, because they cannot hear you call them back.

GDU does ask a minimum adoption donation of 300.00. This is a minimum donation and does not cover all expenses, but does go directly towards vet care for our rescue animals. All other needs are donated by the foster family such as food, toys, time and love. GDU is funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum donation includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate, bordetella, heartworm test and preventative if age appropriate, flea and tick treatment, and neutering or spaying. It also includes a new family member starter kit, a small transitional bag of the food they have been on, and some special items they may have grown attached to in their foster home
