Meet Athena
Athena is an 8 to 9 month old Great Dane pup, looking for a new lease on life. Her humans surrendered her because she has a heart murmur, caused by a couple of small genetic issues. Following a Cardiogram, our Vet said that the murmur may never cause her a problem, and the best course is to get her into a furever home, where she will be loved. . Of course, we want to watch the situation over the next few months as she grows closet to full-size. Also, Athena came into her first heat a day or so before we picked her up, so her spay appointment will have to be set back for a bit. She WILL be spayed.
This girl is the most loving, sweet thing we have run across in a while. She is definitely typical Great Dane in all ways. Her surrender papers say that she gets along well with cats and . . . chickens?!?! lol
