Meet Willa
** FOSTER UPDATE**
Willa is still shy and skittish around new people, but loves to have your attention. She sometimes cowers and/or runs, as if she has been hit before, but we have no history to go by to confirm that. For now, attention is on her terms, but once she gets used to a person and feels safe, she does come around for some love. She is very nervous about being picked-up, but with time, that will change too. She does fine with other dogs and if you happen to have a kitten in your arms, Willa will be your new best friend!!
She has decided the pup sofa and the bed aren't such a bad places to rest her head, and likes to lay up on the landing where she can see everything that is going on around her. She is crate trained, but doesn't need one. She likes toys, has been good when left alone and has not torn up anything except soft toys and squeakies. I think she thinks that's what she is supposed to do with them, once she has squeaked them to death!! She likes going for a ride in the car and wants to be close by you (as in laying down between the front seats so that you can reach down a pet her).
Willa has been spayed and is up-to-date on vaccines, and weighs about 38 lbs.

Willa and her sister Laney, come to us from a small, and unusual hoarding situation. While their humans love them VERY much, they just could not take care of 22 dogs, so they reached out for help! Enter Green Dogs Unleashed!! These dogs are not used to the finer things in life, such as walking on a leash, lounging on the sofa, or riding in the car. They will need a lot of extra love and encouragement to try new things. These girls have had their entire world turned upside down, and have no idea what is going on, so they will need patience and understanding. They are sweet and loving girls who just want a family to help them feel safe and secure, to help them feel like the happy and playful young pups they know they are. We think Willa is between 2 and 3 years old.
