Someone out there has been searching endlessly for this Doodle face. Petey, a two year old Doodle/OtterHound mix is sure to be the life of your party. Perhaps you are looking for a new frisbee aficionado? This happy go lucky, affectionate clownish boy wants only to please (and maybe chase deer). He is great in the house according to his foster mom, although he does not love his crate yet. Petey is great with other dogs and people, and does currently reside with a kitty, however his interest in the kitty leads us to believe he would be best suited in a cat free home. Petey is a smart guy! We're working on sit and stay and come, and after only 3 days, he's grasping them pretty quickly. He's food motivated, which makes learning new things much quicker. He loves to cuddle. As soon as we sit on the couch, he jumps up and lays his head in our laps, and makes an adorable little moan of contentment. Laying in someone's lap is definitely his favorite way to nap. But when it's time to go to bed for the night, he gets onto his dog bed and settles down there until morning. I think that being from a home where there were lots of other dogs, Petey would prefer company rather than being an only dog. He's not a fan of being alone. He's learning house rules quickly, and doesn't chew on things he shouldn't or get in to stuff. And he lets us know when he needs to go outside. If he meets you once, you're his bestest friend ever, and the next time he sees you, you'll be greeted with squeals of delight, excitement and him jumping up to give you a kiss (we're working on the jumping part). Petey is a sweetheart and is going to be a fantastic companion to whomever gives him a forever home.

Petey shows a LOT of interest in cats, and would be best in a home without cats, in a home with VERY patient cats, or where someone is home and has the time to
teach him proper 'cat etiquette'.

Petey is another one from the small hoarding situation. This guy is about 2 years old and is the sister of our new Momma pup, Kala. He will need some extra love and attention to help with manners and house rules, but he is going to make someone a wonderful family member!! He has not been exposed to the luxuries of car rides, long walks on a leash, hours of play time, or even just lounging around on the sofa, but we are sure it won't take him long to adapt to the good life!!
