Meet Patches

Patches is a lovely 2 year old female that was surrendered to the shelter on 3/11/16, along with her litter of kittens. The previous owner simply had too many cats and was unable to care for all of them. Patches was a wonderful mom, and did a fantastic job of raising her little ones. She has since been spayed, and is now more than ready to transition into a forever home. Patches is good with children, dogs, and other cats. She is excellent with the litter box, and knows what a scratching post is to be used for. She is very proud of her bright calico coat, and is good about keeping herself looking cover-girl beautiful. She is lightening fast at chasing laser light dots, and things that dangle are popular with her as well. Patches REALLY enjoys small fabric catnip mice that she can toss into the air and bat around freely - loving nothing more than to have you throw one across the room in playing fetch with her. She is very good at this game! If you like a somewhat talkative girl, Patches may be the one for you, as from time to time she loves to tell you all about her day. She likes to help you when you are on the computer, or relaxing with a good book. What she is really after is a bit of special time enjoying belly rubs, ear and neck scratching, and being told that you love her. Patches has a quiet purr, and will bunt her head against your chin in an attempt to let you know how much she loves you. Once she is satisfied that you understood her message, off she goes on another adventure. Patches will sleep with you at night, and loves little cubbies to sleep in during the day. She loves to be in the same room with you, and will seek out a window where she can do some afternoon bird and critter watching. Like many cats, she is a plastic bag eater, so make sure to keep them out of her sight. She doesn't chew on anything else that we know of. NOTE: Patches is currently in a foster home, but setting up an appointment to have her brought to the shelter to meet you is easy. Just contact the front desk at (715) 839-4747 ext. 21.
