Chubby American Bulldog & Hound Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi, my name is Chubby. I am an 8 year old neutered male that was brought to the shelter as a stray. I am a very handsome American Bulldog/Hound mix with an easy to care for short coat and two different colored eyes. I think that one of my parents might have been an American Foxhound. I love being unique which seems to draw more attention my way. Most of the time I am a couch potato that loves to cuddle and just be with you, but that's after I have been on a walk. Being a shelter resident is difficult for large dogs, so when I see someone with a leash in hand heading my way, I put on my big Bulldog smile (am I ever glad that I just had my teeth cleaned) and hope that they are going to ask me if I want to go for a walk. Of course I always say Yes, Yes, Yes please, and I do have to admit that I can be strong on leash at first, but I do settle into a rhythm once I have been out for a bit. I can't help it. I love being with people and spending time outside of my kennel. An active home that will make sure I have plenty of exercise every day will be best for me. I know sit, and would love to learn more obedience commands. Before you adopt me, please check with your landlord and renter's insurance company or your homeowner's insurance company to make sure that they do not discriminate against my breed.
