Harley ( lap cat ) Domestic Short Hair Eau Claire, WI

Harley is a lover and does well with everyone! What a great companion! Her previous pet guardian found her as a stray and surrendered her to the shelter on 5/31/16. She is a VERY sweet and affectionate, 1 year old female brown tabby, with pretty light green eyes. You will notice some patches of thin fur from stress grooming. It is called psychogenic alopecia. When some cats are upset about something, like being lost or kenneled, they start to lick their hair to calm themselves. Harley is in need of a loving home soon, where she can relax and know that she is a cherished member of the household. Her favorite place in the world is in your arms, on your lap, or curled up around your neck. She loves being a shoulder kitty couch potato when you are sitting down and relaxing with a good book, but she is very playful as well. Her favorite toys are balls, feather toys, and wand-toys with a human attached to the other end. She leans into you for attention and loves to sleep next to you. Harley is good with dogs and will play with them. She is also good with other cats, but is a bit more leery of them until she is convinced that they like her, so she will need a slow introduction. Harley knows what a scratching post is to be used for and is excellent with the litter box. She likes to tell you all about her day and is a very good listener as well, especially if you are telling her how much you love her, or complementing her on how pretty she is. If you are having a busy day, Harley is happy to relax on a cat tree near a window where she can watch for anything that moves.
