Meet CHEVY

One of our long-term fosters is officially up for adoption!

Meet Chevy!

Chevy is a handsome 4 year old, 70 lb, pitbull who was picked up from Franklin County Animal Shelter the day he was supposed to be euthanized. He was a shelter favorite and he continues to be a favorite in his foster home.

This wonderful boy has endured a lot. He underwent two ACL surgeries on his hind legs and has recovered well from both of them. He shows off his new knees jumping and running in the backyard with wild abandon. Don’t be fooled though, he loves to stay close to his people and does well off leash.

Chevy has anxiety with large groups of people and new people in general. He is also afraid of thunderstorms, the vet, and being left alone for long periods of time. He prefers to travel with his humans if possible.

Chevy will need a special home that is experienced with pitbulls. He will need a strong handler that isn’t afraid of his size or his bark. He will also need a home that does not have little kids since he does not know his own strength.

Chevy is an extremely wonderful and loyal dog if given the chance. He is well-trained but has the stubbornness of a pitbull nonetheless.

Multiple home visits may be necessary in order to ensure proper placement and knowledge of his personality quirks.

If you want to meet this beautiful boy, please complete an application at www.speakfortheunposken.com. The adoption donation is $250.00.
