August is a charming 1 year old neutered male with a medium length black coat, highlighted by green/gold eyes. He was brought to the shelter as a stray on 5/01/16 and would prefer a quiet forever home. He is a wonderful and extremely loving feline that is having a difficult time adjusting to the life style of being a shelter resident, so he may seem shy and timid. Please don't let this fool you; once he is in your arms you will realize how much he truly loves people and wants to be with you. He loves to snuggle and will tell you how appreciative he is with an instant purr, and by hiding his head deep into your arm. August just can't get enough of being petted, and having his cheeks and neck scratched. Within just a few minutes you will notice his front paws kneading you, and your heart will melt knowing how much love this sweet cat has bundled up inside as he waits for someone to adopt him. He will rub his head on you as he begs for more comforting attention. You will notice that he is thin and so is his coat, but good quality food, less stress, more love, and being brushed is what is on his mind for a healthier look. August melts into being brushed and fussed over. What a fantastic companion and best friend for the lucky household that adopts him!
