Dogs like Sugar Bear are the reason why the phrase “Man’s best friend” was coined. His bright smile, wet kisses that he bestows both speractically and on demand, and his loveable personality make it hard not to fall in love with him on first sight. On Sugar Bear’s first night at my house, he was very shy. When I sat down beside him to pet him, he scooted away and turned his back to me. It wasn’t long before he soon trusted me and bolted to the door every time I came home. He loves to be pet and praised, but isn’t needy and enjoys space at times. Sugar Bear would make a perfect dog for a home with older children or just adults because too much “love” can fluster him. Despite this one slight flaw, Sugar Bear is an absolute sweetheart and of all the foster dogs my family has had, he is the first I’m truly sad to see move onto a new home. If you would like a dog who is sweet, will make you laugh, always looks like he is smiling, will shower you with kisses if you simply say “kisses,” and is a bundle of cuteness maybe Sugar Bear is the dog for you! If I was old enough to support him financially (I’m a college student and I don’t think we can both survive on Ramen Noodles) he wouldn’t even be an option for you because I would have adopted him weeks ago. He is truly a gem and I hope you can open your heart and love him as much as I do.
