Shakira is a cover-girl gorgeous, 5 year old spayed female that was brought to the shelter as a stray on 5/06/16. She has the prettiest, light moss green eyes that you have ever seen. Her plush calico coat has unique markings of a tortoiseshell, but with larger patches of orange and tan tabby highlighting her sweet face. Her white chest and paws complement the rest of her, and those long, long, long, whiskers are the envy of all the other cats. Shakira has had her front paws declawed, and will need a home without other cats or dogs as she prefers to be your one and only princess. Her forever home will also need to be with pet parents that are willing to keep her beautiful long coat brushed and free of matts. Shakira is a talkative and playful gal that enjoys catnip mice, but her favorite toys are wand toys with a human attached to the other end. Like many cats, Shakira is not fond of being held in your arms for long periods of time, but loves people and leans into you as hard as she can for more wonderful ear scratching and being petted. Being a shelter resident has been difficult for Shakira due to all of the other animals that she can see and hearing dogs bark, but she is trying her best to be brave until someone that fits her life style falls in love with her.
