Sprout (declawed front paws) Domestic Short Hair Eau Claire, WI

Due to allergies of an extended family member, Sprout was sadly surrendered to the shelter on 5/03/16. Sprout is 11-years-old, has declawed front paws, and is a neutered male. He had lived in the same household along with a dog and two other cats since he was found as an abandoned kitten. He tolerated the dog and other cats by ignoring them, but may prefer a home where he would be your only pet. He WILL need a home without children as they frighten him, causing him to hide deep when they are around. Sprout is a distinguished looking brown tabby with a soft coat, large round eyes, and a mountain of love and companionship to offer the lucky family that adopts him. Sprout is a wonderful cat that loves to be groomed, and comes running when he sees a brush in your hand. He craves attention and will follow you from room to room, which at times causes him to become underfoot. He loves to watch the birds at a feeder and also enjoys laying on papers, especially ones your working on. Sprout is shy with strangers at first, but warms up quickly when he is being held or petted. He enjoys time lounging on your lap and is really quite affectionate.
