Meet Johnny
Greeting from Johnny! I am a 1 year old Beagle/Feist Mix who weighs 16 pounds. Unfortunately, I fell out of a truck and was taken to a pound for treatment. I have been treated and am healing so now all this friendly boy needs is my forever home!
Johnny's foster mom had this to say about him:
'I have only had Johnny for about four days now and he is the most loving dog you will find! When I come home, he will stand up to my knee and lean into me and beg to be picked up. That being said, he is also very high energy and loves to chase his tennis ball! He runs around the back yard with my two Miniature Schnauzers, jumps over the benches stops for a minute or two, then he's off again! He's a big jumper, has jumped OVER my coffee table to get to the couch.
He loves my three dogs and us, my grandkids came over, and he loves them too. I have not had him around any small children, but does not seem to mind anything like touching his face, feet or tail (of course we don't pull on them). I feed all four of them at the same time and they all eat from their own bowl and don't bother anyone else's. I don't believe he has had many treats because it takes he doesn't like the majority of them. He will lay at my feet at the table but does not beg.
He sleeps in bed with us and has now decided to sleep UNDER the covers. The only time I have heard him growl was then he was under the covers sleeping and I tried to move him. I guess he needs his beauty sleep. I think I actually scared him, when I said something to him he was fine. He is house broke, goes to the door when he wants out, but hasn't yet barked to go out. So, here is Johnny - awesome dog, housebroke, loves everyone he has met, loves to go for rides, does not beg and only barks when he hears someone at the door, (or if he's waiting for his food or his tennis ball). He would make a GREAT addition for any home.'
My minimum adoption donation is $195 plus a $10 fee for rabies registration with McLean County Animal Control (McLean County residents).
I have been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
