8/11/16 Howdy!
My name is Honky Tonk, but you can call me Tonkin. I’m looking for someone to call my partner. I went looking on my own once but ended up being hit by a giant moving contraption. I’ve recovered since but never found that person to call my own. People frequently call me “a big ol’ hunk of love”. I know one thing is I LOVE to play with toys. I’ve learned to entertain myself by tossing and rolling on a toy for hours on end. I can get carried away with my goofiness sometimes and am currently learning how to not be so “mouthy” as the humans call it. I’ve already learned how to sit, down, stay, come, wait, and walk on leash. I like other dogs but since I’m a huge handsome guy, some dogs don’t take to my big boy-ness too well.
They say I won’t be good with small kids as I might knock them over or play too rough but, if you’re looking for a big guy who loves to goof around, I’m your guy!

Can’t wait to meet ya!

-Honky Tonk, AKA Tonkin

Gorgeous Honky Tonk found running stray. No collar. No microchip. So skinny. Big problem. He walks with a limp and X-rays show that he had a broken leg and it healed on its own without care. We are hoping to get an orthopedic consult this week. Rescues take on the problems that previous owners neglect to address. We volunteer to raise funds to help these dogs. Donations are always helpful. Honky Tonk is between one and two years old and super friendly. He will be up for adoption as soon as we find out about his injury.

This is the Dog! (TITD!) makes no representation, warranty or guarantee about an animal’s breed, temperament or behavior. We also make no representation, warranty, or guarantee as to the size at maturity, health or disposition of any dog because This is the Dog! is uncertain of its background or
history. TITD! inquires of known owners, whether the animal bites, otherwise TITD! makes no representation, guarantee or warranty that the animal does not bite. Adopter also understands that the dog has displayed no evidence of illness or health problems during its stay with TITD!, unless indicated on the medical history form.

Donations are critical to our existence -- they help us to continue rescuing these animals and to make sure that they are healthy and properly socialized before being adopted. Thank you for considering a rescued animal from This Is The Dog!. To donate www.thisisthedog.com
