Thumbs, along with her brother Spot, was brought to the shelter as a stray on 3/26/16. They were only 4 weeks old and were sent to foster care until old enough to be put up for adoption. They are now available and ready to move into a forever home. They are not a bonded pair and can easily be adopted into separate homes, but if you are thinking about adopting two kittens for double the fun and enjoyment, Thumbs would love to go home with Spot. Keep in mind that when you adopt two kittens, the adoption fee for the second is half of the regular price. You are still responsible for the spay/neuter deposits. Whether you would like to call her a thumb cat, polydactyl, mitten-toe, or Hemingway cat; she is adorable and has extra toes on three of her paws. This trait is the result of a genetic mutation from a dominant gene, and only a polydactyl can parent another polydactyl, which is why they are a bit rare. Thumbs is a precious female that offers an instant motor-boat purr when you hold her in your arms. Like most kittens, she is playful as well and her favorite toys are catnip mice and crinkle toys.
