Dessa Coonhound & Plott Hound Mix Hood River, OR

Dessa is a beautiful 2-3 yr old Coon/Plott Hound girl. She's about 60 lbs, and had to be surrendered because her family was moving and couldn't take her with them. She had quite a nice life, there...slept on the son's bed, cuddled on the sofa, and was truly loved, so Dessa isn't quite sure what's happening now, but we love her and know her new home will show up soon enough. Dessa needs a few skills, though. She's getting much better on a leash but still has that hound nose that wants to take where it wants to go, and she likes to get up on furniture, but a NO and she gets down. She's fine with the dogs at the shelter, and has lived with kids and she loved them all. Especially likes it when the kids read to her. Dessa would like a home where she gets regular exercise, and room to use her hound nose, and lots of love. She's house trained, current on shots, microchipped and spayed. The adoption fee for this beauty is $205. The fee to adopt is charged to recoup standard veterinary expenses.
