Barbie & Ken Chihuahua Newmanstown, PA

Ken and Barbie are Chi's and were born around March 2014 in a puppy mill. Neither knew kind hands until now. They are very bonded and would like to be adopted together, if possible. They really don't trust people and have a tendancy to be terrified of them.

Barbie is slowly learning to trust her foster mom but it has been many months. She will run and hide if you call her. She needs someone who is very willing to go slowly with her. She may never be a "lap" dog. She is a very aggressive chewer so needs plenty of toys and such so she doesn’t find your personal belongings to chew on. She is not aggressive but does not like to be grabbed at or approached. If you try to approach her she takes off.

Ken is very loving with his foster mom but growls and snarls at other people. He does not like strangers. He goes potty outside but does still mark in the house. . There is a possibility of him being aggressive if he feels threatened.

Neither of these dogs would be good for someone who is not familiar with dogs with issues. They are typical Chi's in that they bark. They both will take a long time to learn to trust a new person.

Barbie and Ken need a house with a secure fenced yard and no children.
